How hard it is for you to start a new journey and put your first step? How many of your first steps already lead you to frustration and disappointment? Do you think it was enough?

Not enough to give up

That was a tough year. Year, when I had to take responsibility for myself, year when I faced my demons. Year, that I traded for someone I’ve been missing for many years. Me.

Previous years gave me a lot of chances for making first steps. I did not know the important rule I learned last year borrowed from one of the book I’ve read: if it is not “hell, yeah!” than it is “No!”. Over my life I used to follow philosophy of taking all chances, that comes the way. Work, business, people. Sometimes it did the job and lead me to a success. More often these steps lead to the failures.

Enough to get up

Despite the failures, here I go with one more first step. Another one without a clear understanding of what I’m doing. Another one with unclear results. Another one, that might be a failure. Another one, that may success. Result does not matter anymore. It is the first step on the curious journey I am standing in front of.

The desire

Analyzing all that effort and the cases with different outcomes I understood the main difference between successful and failed results. Successful ones were always on a path that I honestly wanted to take. I met failures mostly on the paths that were logically “good enough” to take. For some reason my compass was not showing North on these trips.

During this year I have been considering: do I know enough to share? Is it valuable enough? Oh my, I am feeling overwhelmed immediately I recall these doubts... I bet many people know that feeling. Nevertheless there is a single way to figure that out. It is easy. As easy as making a step.
