Today is 20th of December. It means most of us are wrapping the presents and finishing tasks. Despite modern life alters our behavior - following traditions and spending Christmas together with the family is a popular choice. It’s been a busy year for me and honestly I have entire list what I need to do before the end of the year. And this is what I want to share today.

The list of items was growing since the beginning of the December. I was doing more and there were more ideas coming to my mind how to use this time, how much I can achieve. It could be good. I might be productive, I might achieve some steps and become a bit more satisfied because checkboxes are ticket. But today I realized something is missing.

When I sit down and opened up a list: I saw a list of someone’s eager to become succesful. Someone’s who wants to help and make people around happy. A guy with ambitions and big heart. But there was one thing missing. The guys himself. Just like years ago I forgot to put there what matters to me.

And there were simple, straightforward items: “get rest” and “spend time with family”. It does not mean I’m giving up on goals and plan entirely. Instead it helps to evaluate priorities. There are no other to-do items that are more important and valuable.

There is no reason to abandon plans entirely - I know I will get bored at some point and creating is the way to deal with boredom the right way. Big things are built with small steps. Even smallest counts.

It’s Christmas time
