Is there a problem when we don’t see any?

The entry point we start at is not even knowing there is a problem. This applies to each and every human on the world. This can be observed in multiple ways, that has one thing in common: lack of action. It is either passive observation or, on a higher level - these are reaction.
And this isn’t a flaw - even our brains protects us from noticing or remembering moments, that may hurt us. We are literally protected by ignorance and intolerance. This is not a sign of undeveloped mind. This is a sign of deep protection mechanics. How to start moving and avoid standstill in a place we hate, state we avoid?
Adopting different perspectives
There is a beautiful saying - traveling is educating. This is because we purposely put ourselves in the stress of learning new perspective. The way people eat, sleep, talk. Depending on the place you’re from and your destination - even day and night may be turned around. Or days/nights may “never” end, because it’s never getting dark/light.
And people adapt. Because they perceive the same events differently. Their culture, religion even language helps them to survive and build on top what they got. This is one of the most powerful abilities we got as a humanity.
And if we want to grow - we have to adapt more perspectives. More perspectives brings more possibilities. It rises our adaptability and therefore - increases chance for survival. Both: physical and mental.
Know the goal
Why to wake up if there is no reason to do so?
One of the most powerful questions is “why”? It can be abusive, it can be persuasive it can be... anything. Depending on the way and context we use it. And this question is like a lighthouse to navigate our lives.
Especially, when lives are safe and relatively easy, comparing to our ancestors in terms of physical safety and survival. Without knowing the answer it’s impossible to set the goal. Without a goal it is impossible to pick the right direction. Without the direction we’re drifting, giving entire power and energy away. To obstacles, to other peoples, to accidents, random events.
It becomes critical without ability to understand and process emotions. It is so easy to manipulate, loose focus and overall get led by random scenrious, that derails us. But without having a goal we are not even knowing about it. And then we can just cry about not being at a place we pretended we want to be.
Plan isn’t enough
It is tempting to have plan. At some point making plans starts to feel so good. Even better than living the life aka executing the plan.
And there are many people, including myself, who make plans, learn and gather resources. And are so afraid of actually acting. I don’t want to be harsh here on anyone else, even with myself. But we have to stop pretending this is the way. It is not the way.
There are people who go and visit 3 grocery stores to grab their milk. They spend time, money and energy and get the result.
While others are crafting perfect plan, optimize it and every day are unhappy ending up with getting tea, cause there are no milk. And a black coffee is disgusting.
If both do not reflect on the results they end up with some problems. Either spending too much resources, and, at least, getting what they wanted. Or are overplaning - saving resources, but not getting anything out of it except some hopes tomorrow they finally get the milk.
The balance
If there is one state that in my opinion is worth to chase - it is balance. Without some mental effort - we end up overspending resources. While without risking with spending some resources with no result we end up in the same place. While the World is constantly moving.
Standing in the same place isn’t safe as at some point life kicks us in the *** very hard. And then we have no choice but move.
On the other side - moving too much and too fast leads to exhaustion and we are stopped to take a while and reconsider our, in this case unconscious, decisions.
Both are quite destructive. And there is no one size-fits-all suggestion. Learning own limits and following the energy, doing what makes us feel energized as often as possible sounds like a right direction. Enjoy your trip, traveler!
